About The DJ

Dane is a 17 year old from Macclesfield, Cheshire. He has been involved in music for pretty much all his life. When he was eight years old he joined a youth theatre where he performed in many shows like Les Miserables, Bugsy Malone, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story and many more. He has had many principle roles in these shows and performed in front of about 300 people per night. Since a young age he has wanted to follow in his uncles footsteps and become a DJ. When he was 12 he was successful in an audition to be in "The Wizard Of Oz" at the Manchester Palace Theatre. This was a big step for him and found himself performing alongside Dani Harmer (Star of Tracy Beaker) and Collin White from Grange Hill. It was during that year that Dane got his first DJ system. It was very basic but started to DJ for friends and family. He soon was getting enquiries asking if he could DJ for people and has been providing discos professionally ever since. When Dane was 14 he became a volunteer at a local radio station in Macclesfield. He soon started to get the hang of it and now has a regular radio show every Saturday morning from 11am. Dane gave up performing not long after he became a volunteer at the station as he wanted to focus on his school work as he already had three different hobbies. Dane hopes to one day get back up on a stage and perform in front of hundreds of people like he used to. Dane has a wide range of music in his ever growing play list and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to music. Although he’s only 17 he is a big fan of the 80's and you can sometimes hear him banging out the tunes from that decade on his Ipod! Danes main focus at the moment is his DJ'ing and you can regularly spot him around Cheshire.
